When you have successfully completed the WordPress website creation process then you should do these things in order to get most out of your website.

A .The Green lock. SSL or Secure Sockets Layer provide security between computer communication. In simple words this feature make sure your website is safe to visit. 
How to add this feature: SSL is actually a certificate which should be installed on your website and there are ways you get SSL on your website:
  • You can have it pre installed on your website if you purchase it from your service provider.
  • Combo Hosting plans usually have free SSL certificate installed automatically every year. 
  • Manual installation:(requires Cpanel handling)  There are 2 options to do it manually:
  1. Through Cloudflare.com  Cloudflarehelps websites to add security and Performance.
  2. Through WordPress Plugin
B. Social media accounts and pages: Make sure to quickly create social Media accounts on all popular platforms like Facebook, Twitter and create pages/groups name similar to you website name, so that it is taken by you.

C. If you are planning to make money from your website then make sure to register on Google's AdSense. It will help you earn online.

D. If you are planning to sell services or products from you website than make sure you have payment gateway(Ex- Paypal) ready in order to receive payment.

E. Create Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Disclaimer, Report Abuse, Contact Us, About Us pages.
